Bryant Barber

Mr. Barber is Of Counsel in the Public Finance Group of Kline Alvarado Veio, concentrating primarily on project financings in the municipal capital markets. He has extensive experience in the field of municipal finance, including related areas of state and federal securities laws, federal tax law, economic development programs, secured transaction, and loan restructurings. Long recognized for his ability to craft creative solutions to complex problems, Mr. Barber is frequently called upon for assistance by nonprofit corporations, municipal governments, investment bankers, developers and financial institutions. Mr. Barber regularly serves as Bond Counsel or Borrower Counsel on behalf of local and regional non-profit corporations. Mr. Barber has participated in structuring numerous multifamily housing transactions in the Phoenix metropolitan area, many of which involved some combination of tax-exempt bonds, low-income housing tax credits, subordinate governmental loans and other governmental participation.

Mr. Barber also regularly advises issuers and corporate trust clients in matters ranging from document negotiation to resolution of troubled financing transactions. He is often consulted by issuers and indenture trustees to defend claims arising out of sophisticated financial structures and to develop documentation in new or unique financing arrangements.
